| Our Goal |
Missions and Outreach Conference is coming up Sunday, February 28 - March 8. Our goal is to raise $125,000 for Special Missions & Outreach to continue the unfinished task of going to the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We've created a book to give you an overview of Missions & Outreach at Grace with a devotional guide to help you connect to and pray for our missionaries and outreaches.
Jon Burns, President of GEM (Greater Europe Mission) will be speaking on the topic "Sharing Jesus in the Time of COVID" during the three worship services. GEM's mission is to reach Europe by multiplying disciples and growing Christ's church. Jon has served as President of GEM since 2016 and prior to serving with GEM, Jon founded Lionsraw, an organization that mobilizes soccer passion for social change. For his work with Lionsraw, Jon was honored by HRM the Queen with a British Empire Medal for services to communities and children and in 2014, Jon was honored as a CNNHero. Jon still serves as Chairman of the Lionsraw US Board and 26x26 Program. Jon is a gifted speaker, evangelist and disciple maker.

DR. TONY EVANS
Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, founder and president of The Urban Alternative, chaplain of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, and author of over 100 books, booklets and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the English-Speaking World by Baylor University.
Dr. Evans holds the honor of writing and publishing the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible by an African American. The study Bible and Commentary went on to sell more than 225,000 in the first year.
His radio broadcast, The Alternative with Dr. Tony Evans, can be heard on more than 1,400 US outlets daily and in more than 130 countries.
Dr. Evans launched the Tony Evans Training Center in 2017, an online learning platform providing quality seminary-style courses for a fraction of the cost to any person in any place. The goal is to increase Bible literacy not only in lay people but also in those Christian leaders who cannot afford nor find the time for formal ongoing education.
Dr. Evans was married to Lois, his wife and ministry partner of over 50 years until Lois transitioned to glory in late 2019. They are the proud parents of four, grandparents of thirteen and great-grandparents of three.
This year, we have set a combined goal of $125,000 for both international missions and local outreach. Through the Special Missions & Outreach Fund, we will:
Continue to provide our international missionaries financial support above their regular support, send teams on mission trips, and partner with strategic ministries to proclaim the gospel to the nations
Launch new local initiatives in order to reach our neighbors in the DFW area with the love of Jesus
