“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” - Hebrews 12:28-29
Worship is about coming before a holy God with reverence and awe and offering our lives as praise to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. When we gather as a people to worship God, we respond to his glory, majesty, beauty, and holiness in praise. That praise can be silent, joyful, or contemplative. Worship is both a solemn assembly and a joyous gathering. And so when you come to Grace Bible Church’s worship services you will experience both reverence and awe and also joyful celebration. God is our creator. He is the one who gave us breath and life, and it is only right that we offer our breath and lives in praise filled with awe and wonder.
We have three services at Grace: a traditional service at 8:45 and contemporary services at 10:00 and 11:15.
The music in our 8:45 service is Traditional in the sense that we sing from the hymnbooks. We sing hymns that are both ancient and modern. Every week you will hear from the choir, under the direction of Barbara Crosthwait. Occasionally you might hear from our brass ensemble, as well as from the famous “Flutes of the Spirit."
The music in our contemporary services at 10:00 and 11:15 is a mixture of hymns, top CCM tunes that you would hear on the radio, some gospel, bluegrass, and folk. We have a full band with a praise team. This service is held in the Sanctuary and is led by Brian Piper.
