When you're looking for a church, it can be a little intimidating. You start asking yourself a lot of questions: How will I find my way around? Will the people be unfriendly? Will they be too friendly? What should I wear? Is there anything available for my kids? Does it have good coffee?
We've been there. Hopefully, this will take away some of the unknowns and make your first visit a bit easier.
What do I wear?
You will find everything from coats and ties to torn jeans and flip-flops. Our goal is to take God seriously and not ourselves. Come dressed however you feel comfortable.
Where are you and where do I park?
We're 2 miles south of the Galleria at the corner of Inwood Road and Northaven. (Click here for a map.) There are two parking lots off Northaven where you can find a spot to park, and the sanctuary is on the east side of the building.
8:45 AM | Traditional Worship
This service is more formal. We'll sing some great hymns. Our superb choir will lead in a few songs. You are likely to hear the organ played and see some coats and ties in this service.
10:00 & 11:15 AM | Contemporary Worship
The 10:00 and 11:15 services are both contemporary, and they tend to be more casual. We'll sing songs that sound like something you might hear on the radio. You are likely to hear a guitar riff and see people wearing jeans.
1:00 PM | Grace en Español
Grace en Español is entirely in Spanish and includes music, prayer, and a sermon by Joe Santana, the Hispanic Ministries Pastor. Grace en Español meets at 1:00 on Sundays in the sanctuary. For more information, see the Grace en Español page or contact Joe Santana.
After you come through the main doors, you'll be greeted by someone who will give you a worship guide which will give you information about our worship and the latest news about our church.
In The Commons, you will find tons of people drinking coffee and talking. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee and browse the Commons tables, or stop by our Welcome Center to get information about our church. When you hear music playing, that's your cue to find a seat for the worship service.
What is there for kids?
If you head towards the other end of the church (opposite from the worship center), you'll run into the check-in center for Grace Kids. You'll want to stop here. There you will find staff and volunteers to show you your kid's classroom and explain our programs. Our childcare facilities are kept immaculately clean, they're well staffed, and our volunteers are well-trained. In short, you can trust us with your kids. They'll learn God's Word and have fun!
Andy, our Senior Pastor, speaks most Sundays. He will walk us through a passage in the Bible using stories and everyday events to show us how God's Word applies to our lives. We have Bibles in the pews so that you can follow along.
We take an offering in both services. It's just another way to worship. Please don't feel any pressure to give. If you have never considered the claims of Jesus, it is our hope that you would receive the free gift of life offered to those who trust Him.
Adult Bible Classes
We have Adult Bible Classes all three hours so you can find one that best fits your schedule. These classes are great opportunities to receive excellent teaching and fellowship with other believers. To see a list of classes, go to the Bible Class page.
