Kent was born in California but moved to Texas just before he began 4th grade. He's been here a long time.

He graduated from the great and glorious University of Missouri with a degree in Journalism. After Mizzou, he lived in Hungary for a year serving with Campus Crusade for Christ in the bone-chilling town of Debrecen, near Romania.

He returned to Dallas to become a Jr. High Pastor at Northwest Bible Church, attend Dallas Seminary and meet his wife, Michelle. He later became the Missions Pastor and spent 13 years on the staff at Northwest. He left Northwest to help his wife and a business partner start Scribbles n Such.

After 2 1/2 years of getting Scribbles n Such started, Kent became the Executive Pastor at Grace in January of 2011.

Kent and Michelle have two kids, Preston who is 14 and Madison who is 10. Preston wants to play quarterback and point guard at Mizzou someday and Madison loves sports, art, piano and horses.

Kent is an avid fan of the Mavericks and stood front row at the Championship Parade. He greatly enjoys traveling and mentoring young men. He's also pretty good at Galaga.
